Know Your USA - Now Only $19.95

Know Your USA is now only $19.95 for the download edition. I am happy to offer our great software at such a low price and hope this enables more people to learn all about the United States.

Today I have also completed work on the purchase system which required some new code from PayPal to ensure it works flawlessly and I hope it does, if you have any problems be sure to e-mail me.

And more news, I have just received the review of Know Your USA by The Old Schoolhouse Magazine, really nice review and you can read it too at:

Know Your USA 1.3

Today I released Know Your USA 1.3, this is a minor release but because I have added some new features and new activation system I think its name deserved to be upgraded to 1.3. So what's new:
  • Minor improvement to preferences section of single user edition
  • New detailed PDF user guide included on CD-Rom and free online download
  • Wikipedia web links added to the Study Your USA section for each feature
  • Audio can be replayed in the Teach Your USA section by clicking on the question
  • New activation system, this enables automatic creation of software keys on purchase and also allows users to automatically request their software key online. Because of the new system old keys will no longer work with this and future releases. Please visit www.knowyourusa.net/help to request a new software key at no extra cost.
The main new feature is the inclusion of Wikipedia links, this is great and allows you to jump directly to the article online in Wikipedia. Perfect to expand your knowledge of any feature covered in Know Your USA.

Another area which needed improvement was the activation system as users were unable to automatically receive their software keys or request a software key at any time. Also I had to manually send out software keys which was time consuming. The down side to this is that all users who wish to upgrade to version 1.3 will need new software keys, I am currently working on this and hopefully by the end of the week all current users will be able to request their new key automatically online.
