How to Download and Install
1. Download
Click the link above to download Know Your USA. It will take just under five minutes on a broadband connection. Save the file to your computer, it is a zipped (ZIP) executable file (EXE) so you may be prompted by Windows® or an Antivirus application to confirm the download and execution of the file. Click "YES".
The school edition of Know Your USA includes advance functions designed for group and classroom use which can be accessed via the Control Panel, including printable worksheets. Visit our school section for further information.
2. Setup
When downloaded, unzip the file (Windows XP or Vista, right click and click Extract All..) for earlier versions of Windows you will need to use WinZip or WinRAR. Once unzipped double click to launch the installation and follow the procedure. When installation is complete, the software is installed to "EdWare\Know Your USA" in the Windows programs folder, a Know Your USA folder is added to the Start Menu and a desktop shortcut is created.
Uninstall any previous version of Know Your USA installed before installing the latest edition.
3. Security
Know Your USA does NOT contain any spyware, adware, viruses or malicious code, it is 100% clean software.
Your security is our priority and all our files are periodically tested against all known viruses using the latest Symantec Norton AntiVirus, Norton Internet Security AntiSpyware Edition and Windows Live OneCare. Also, if you have Antivirus software installed, the file will be automatically checked before it is launched.

If the downloaded file is corrupt...
If the internet connection was terminated or disconnected before the end of the download (file size does not match) or if the download procedure returned damaged data (it may happen during a connection loss) then the install procedure will fail returning an error message. If this happens delete the downloaded file from your hard drive, then try to download the file again.

How to Uninstall Know Your USA
Know Your USA has a fully Windows compliant uninstall procedure. This means that if you want to remove the Know Your USA program, you can do it easily using the built-in procedure. This can be done from the Add/Remove Programs in the Windows Control Panel.
